Summer is almost here (aka the best time of the year), and I have the honor of sponsoring the 2nd Annual Highlands Ranch Home Brew Competition!
I will be awarding the First Place brewer a prize pack including 48 custom designed beer labels for the winning brew, along with a full branding package for the brewer’s “Home Brewery.”
Second place will receive 24 custom designed label for their Home Brew.

Highlands Ranch Home Brew Competition
Submit you brew for a chance to win prizes!
6 Bottles must be turned into Grist Brewing Company (Town Center Location) with entry labels and competition entry form during normal business hours May 20 – 30.
Light – wheat beers, lagers, cream ales, etc.
Medium/Dark – everything from ambers to porters
Hoppy – IPA’s
Open – cider, sours, fruit beer, etc.
Gift pack from Broadway Brew Supply

Name on perpetual trophy that will live at Grist (Park Meadows).
Winning beer brewed and put on tap at Grist* (Park Meadows location).
$25 gift card from Broadway Brew Supply.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons for each category.
Beer for a Year (limit $10.00 per month) from Davidsons- Highlands Ranch for the winner of each category.
Six (6) 12oz bottles labeled with the label printed off HRCA website.
Limit one entry per category per person.
HRCA and Grist employees may not enter.
Flip tops and 22 oz bottles are not acceptable.
Bottles must be free of ink, paint, or paper labeling other than the competition entry label.
Bottle caps must be neutral i.e. no lettering or graphics.
Bottles must be turned in at Grist on Town Center by closing on May 30th.
*To have the winning beer brewed at Grist, it MUST be a style that is not already on tap at Grist Brewing Company. For example, Grist has a milk stout on tap already, so if the winning beer is a milk stout, they would not brew it. So try and be creative with your recipe and beer style.
The competition will be judged in 3 rounds.
First round is judged by HRCA, Grist, Broadway Brew Supply, and HRCA employees. (2 bottles)
Second round is judged by attendees of the Highlands Ranch Beer Festival. (3 bottles)
Third and final round is judged by brew masters and beer professionals from within the community. (1 bottle)
Any beer that did not place may be picked up at Southridge rec center on Sunday, June 3rd. Any beer left past that date will be thrown away.
Competition labels and entry forms will be posted no later than May 1st.
